Clearout alternatives

Clearout is a finder plus a verifier. On our list the first pass hit an iCloud server error. A retry a few minutes later finished with 100% coverage in about 45 seconds, at $360 for 100K verifications a month.

Stay on Clearout if you use the finder and want one login. Wontbounce is the verification-only option: 100% on the first pass, about 7 seconds, $99. ZeroBounce is the deliverability suite at $449, with scoring and append around the verifier. Debounce is the cheap CSV if you can wait about 5 minutes. Bouncer matched full coverage at $320 and about a minute.

When to stay on Clearout

Clearout’s reason to exist, next to a pure verifier, is the email finder and the extras around it. Upload-to-download is straightforward, and once the run is stable the answers on our list matched the harder free-email providers. The first attempt failed on iCloud with what looked like a server error. The retry completed.

Keep it if you use the finder, mid-size corporate lists are most of the volume, and you do not want a second vendor. Look elsewhere if you are paying $360 for verification you could buy on its own, if a stuck list has to wait on support, or if the dashboard feels thin for the price. The $261 gap versus Wontbounce at the same 100K volume is the finder, whether you open it or not.

Wontbounce when you only verify

Wontbounce covered the same list on the first pass, including Yahoo, AOL, Zoho, and catch-all addresses, in about 7 seconds at $99. There is no finder, no sequences, and fewer native integrations than Clearout. That is the trade if verification is the only job.

Check if a Gmail address is real for free before you upload a file. The paid product is the rest of the provider list.

ZeroBounce when you want the suite

ZeroBounce finished in under 30 seconds with 100% coverage at $449 for 100K. The extra product is scoring, append, and the rest of the deliverability set, which is a different purchase from Clearout’s finder. It is overkill for a CSV scrub. The write-up is ZeroBounce alternatives.

Debounce when price matters and speed does not

Debounce also scored 100% on our list, at $124.20, then took about 5 minutes and caps a file at 200K. It has no finder. Pick it over Clearout when the list is small, occasional, and the wait is acceptable. The measured run is on Debounce alternatives.

Bouncer when coverage outranks speed

Bouncer returned 100% coverage in about a minute at $320 for 100K. On an earlier run it marked the same ProtonMail addresses as unknown, so Proton-heavy lists are worth a second look. It is closer to Clearout on price than Wontbounce is, and it does not include the finder. Notes and the screenshot live on the ZeroBounce alternatives page.
